A man’s reading program should be as carefully planned as his diet, for that too is food, without which he cannot grow mentally. – Andrew Carnegie
This past week, we have experienced dramatic change in our every day lives. On Saturday, March 15th, The Wall Street Journal referred to COVID-19 as an “invisible-but-present blizzard” that is reshaping society and sending shockwaves through our routines.
We’ve all heard and know how important it is to take the necessary health precautions. But it’s also imperative to take excellent care of your intellectual and spiritual health.
Business man Andrew Carnegie said, “A man’s reading program should be as carefully planned as his diet, for that too is food, without which he cannot grow mentally.”
While it’s helpful to stay abreast of what’s happening in the world around us, it’s imperative not to became overly anxious over it. Now is an excellent time to carefully plan your “mental diet” and be sure you are filling your mind with ideas and concepts that will push you and your loved ones to grow, even through these uncertain times.
If you would like to keep growing – personally and in your business or career – then I have some ideas I’d love to share with you.
