I hated every minute of training, but I said, “Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.” -Muhammad Ali
You can choose to do something now or you can choose a bigger and better outcome for the future. “Delaying gratification is a process of scheduling the pain and pleasure of life in such a way as to enhance the pleasure by meeting and experiencing the pain first and getting it over with. It is the only decent way to live,” wrote M. Scott Peck, MD in The Road Less Traveled. Muhammad Ali invested mightily in his training and became a significant figure – a champion – in sports history.
This week, I encourage you to review your habits. And are you accomplishing the unpleasant things that need to be done first?
Enjoy a happy and productive week!
